1. Introduction The Northern Magic Circle (NMC) is committed to the security and protection of your personal data. This privacy policy covers any data we collect from you or that you provide to us and the processing of that data. By visiting www.northernmagiccircle.org.uk and providing us with your personal data, you are accepting and consenting to the practices covered by this policy. The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) allow for you to consent to your personal information being held and dealt with as specified and for the NMC to process that information in ways you would reasonably expect to fulfil the legitimate interests of the society and its members with minimal impact on your privacy. The NMC takes responsibility for ensuring member’s rights and interests are fully considered and protected.

2. Where is your information from? We may collect information from your membership application form or by your correspondence with us (email, post, telephone number). Information may also be provided by members about potential new members when introducing them to the Society.

We hold the following personal information:

  • Full name
  • Stage name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Telephone contact number

We require this information to contact members to inform them of welfare notices, society events and other matters arising within the society requiring membership's awareness.

9. Further Information The controller for your personal data is the NMC which can be contacted through the Chairman or Secretary. A data controller determines how and why personal data is processed.
